Project Description:
This project involved the design and construction of a Mini Stadium at Baliguda, Odisha, aimed at promoting sports and recreation in the region. The scope included both new structural design and retrofitting of certain parts of the existing infrastructure to ensure safety, durability, and compliance with modern standards. The Mini Stadium is envisioned to provide a safe, functional, and engaging space for local events and community sports.

Scope of Work:

  1. Structural Design:
    • Developed detailed structural design for the new Mini Stadium, including the foundation, seating arrangements, and roof structure.
    • Ensured that all design elements met the required safety standards and provided maximum usability for spectators and players.
    • Addressed the unique site conditions of Baliguda to create a stable, sustainable structure that could withstand local weather patterns and seismic activity.
  2. Retrofit and Rehabilitation:
    • Assessed the existing infrastructure and identified areas requiring retrofitting.
    • Designed retrofitting solutions to strengthen key structural elements such as columns, beams, and foundations, ensuring they met the updated load and seismic requirements.
    • Incorporated modern techniques and materials to enhance the lifespan and functionality of the older parts of the stadium.
  3. Drainage and Site Development:
    • Designed an efficient stormwater drainage system to manage rainfall and prevent flooding within the stadium premises.
    • Worked on grading and landscaping of the site to create safe pathways and open spaces for spectators and athletes.
  4. Sustainability Features:
    • Integrated environmentally friendly materials and construction methods, ensuring the stadium is energy-efficient and minimizes its environmental impact.
    • Designed water-saving measures for the stadium, including rainwater harvesting systems and efficient irrigation for landscaping.
